Temple Square and the Macy's Windows

Last night was insane!

We decided to go to Temple Square for the lights and for the Macy's windows that they're copying ZCMI on.
Side note:  I miss ZCMI!  These windows were not as good.
Here's an example of the wonderful ones back in the day:

Traffic didn’t kill us. Got to the City Creek parking within a decent amount of time.

Then- blowout.
Changed Simon.

Fed him.

Blow out!

No more outfits.

Hates his coat- too stiff.

So we go up to Macy’s- got a good deal on a new coat that is really soft and came with pants and shirt, and then another outfit that I couldn’t resist- with a hoodie that says Mommy’s Tough Guy.

So he’s spoiled.

Get out to Temple Square and he is LIVID that he has so many layers on and has to sit in a stroller he’s not used to (we loaned the jogging stroller to Amber so she could bring Ellie and not worry about Ellie sitting down with tantrums) and couldn’t lean forward far enough to chew on the tray.

So we carried him the whole night.
This is a child who never complains- but apparently if you try to stop him from chewing on something, he will let his opinion be known!

So it was an exhausting night!

At Nauvoo Cafe, happy to have his hat off

Love this hat we found him- super warm and so redneck!

He barely looked at the lights at all!

Maybe we'll try again next year. :)

  1. Simon has such a cute hat!! Where did you get it? I want one for Max (even though he will just eat all the fur off).

    1. Amanda, we got it in the kids (not baby) section at Smith's Marketplace. Simon has a big head so we knew to look there for a big hat! :)
