I went to college and the student housing always had a coffee table.
I got an old coffee table from our ranch years ago and cleaned it up (it'd been in an abandoned house and the table was probably from the 1930's or so) and used that for a bit.
Then I felt bad using such an old table and became afraid of something happening to it.
So I went to Target and got a set of cheap side tables and a coffee table (when I say cheap I think it was like $30 for all three).

I painted most of it a tan color that felt like suede and had a plan to tile our wedding pictures on top with that tile glaze stuff. Since we STILL do not have our wedding photos (yeah, sensitive MADDENING subject) that has been put off.
The coffee table lasted... maybe 10 months before every couple weeks Caleb and I were gluing the legs back on. I was fed up.
So we went to RC Willey, got the idea for a trunk instead of a coffee table, went to Target and got one that we can survive with until we can buy nicer furniture someday.
Then I got the IDEA.
I can screw off the remaining legs on the broken coffee table.
Take the top of the table and still do our tiled pictures (if we ever ever get our wedding pictures).
Then I can put hooks on the bottom ledge.
Somehow hang it all up on the wall
and VOILA- I have a neat thing to hang on the wall to hang keys, pictures, whatever from!
Now... When will I do this?
Eh, who knows.
The new job says I will be slammed in a few weeks from about Thanksgiving until after April next year.
So we'll see!
We have some other exciting stuff happening in our lives so things are busy! Maybe while Caleb studies cause that's what he does nowadays!
One hour of work left. Yes, I am blogging at work. They encourage us to "social network" so I am doing it!
