Day off!

My sister and her kids are in town to see my little brother one more time before he leaves on his mission (they'll be in Europe for his farewell) so we are going to Lagoon today to have a little fun!

It should actually be perfect- no rain, no cold, no heat.  Just perfect!
I took the whole day off (after working five 10-hour days last week, I need it!) but Caleb and I aren't leave until about 1:30 (summer morning classes).

So what am I doing my free morning?
Cleaning, blogging, and watching MIOBI

Trina (http://trinaslifeisgood.blogspot.com/) and I love this show.  Perhaps we had secret desires to be gymnasts when we were little.  Now that we are *ahem* old we can live vicariously by watching a show.  :)

Well, enough with my morning.
I have questions...

So as I am married now, the obvious next step is to build a family (replenish the earth with more dorky children!).

So my questions are...
how soon is too soon to get an OBGYN? Start buying things related to children/pregnancy?
Any tips people can give me that they discovered they wish they had known pre-pregnancy?

  1. Well, you're supposed to have a yearly exam once you get married, so I don't think anytime is too early to find a good OB/GYN. I started buying things here and there when they were awesomely good deals...if you don't end up using them, you can always give them as gifts.
I get pretty sick for the first four months with my pregnancies, so knowing that now, when we decide to try for number three, I'll be making lots of freezer dinners for us to eat when I spend my days laying on the couch and wishing to die. You might not get sick, but it never hurts to have some preparation just in case! :)

  2. Pretty sure I still have all the papers/charts/fliers/etc. from my family & human development classes. I'll try to remember to look through them and see what I can find about family planning and pre-pregnancy. And I'm so glad you made it to da Bagoon! It was mucho fun. Why I'm blog stalking right after getting home I have no idea. Lovey a na night!
